Withdrawals at AvaTrade ZA

Trading online is all about mastering the markets and taking advantage of the many trading opportunities in the financial markets. Being able to easily access your profits and to withdraw your funds through a simple process, is important – at AvaTrade, we understand this and here we provide detailed information about the AvaTrade ZA withdrawals.

  • How can I make a withdrawal from AvaTrade South Africa?
In order to withdraw your money from your AvaTrade South Africa account, you need to ensure that your account has been both verified and confirmed. This process will require you to send AvaTrade clear copies of your ID document, such as your passport or driver’s license; a recent utility bill in order to confirm your place of residence as well as a copy of the credit card, if you used one in order to make a deposit.
Once these formalities have been set up and AvaTrade has verified your details, you can then go to the ‘My AVA’ section in your account and complete a simple form to start the withdrawal process. Easy and efficient!

  • How long does it take to make a withdrawal?

One of the many advantages of AvaTrade South Africa is the speed at which withdrawal requests are processed. Normally, this process only takes one or two working days if the client’s trading account has been approved and verified. Our business days run from Mondays to Fridays and we do not operate over the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as well as on public holidays and other festive dates on the South African calendar.

While we process withdrawal requests as quickly as possible, it should be noted that the procedures for receiving funds, already cleared by AvaTrade, may encounter some delays once they arrive at banking institutions, electronic payment systems or credit cards. In these cases, it can take a few additional days until you can access your funds directly. Feel free to contact your banking institution to get more information regarding their processes.

  • How do I know that I won’t encounter any problems when I try to withdraw my funds?

If you do a search online regarding traders that have experienced issues when withdrawing their funds from brokers worldwide, you will find thousands of stories. This is certainly one of the thorniest situations that most traders find themselves in when it comes to their brokers. The internet is full of complaints of missing transactions, including withdrawal funds from brokers. We, at AvaTrade South Africa, take the management of our clients’ funds very seriously. We are a regulated broker, which means we are required to follow strict regulations, including how we manage our clients’ funds. In addition, we use the latest security technologies to secure our clients’ funds and personal details. We also use traceable funding to ensure delivery and receipt. Transactions between AvaTrade South Africa and our clients are quick and effective, and above all else, done through well-tested, secure and efficient channels.

  • What deposit methods are available at AvaTrade South Africa?

To cater to the different needs of our clients, we offer a wide range of deposit methods to our South African traders. You can either use credit cards, debit cards, a bank transfer, as well as many e-payment methods, including Neteller, Skrill and WebMoney. With the multitude of options available, all our traders should easily find a solution to fund their accounts, efficiently and easily. The ease and convenience of making deposits with AvaTrade South Africa, gives our traders direct access to trade the financial markets online and to find the potentially profitable trading opportunities.

  • What documents are needed to deposit money into an AvaTrade account?

In order to keep up with internationally accepted money laundering practices, as well as the KYC (Know your customer) policy, AvaTrade South Africa is required to confirm the identity of each one of its clients. In order to do so, you will need to send us a few documents, which will then need to be approved. These include:

    • A colour copy of a government issued, national identity card confirming the personal data entered into the AvaTrade account on registration. You can send a copy of your passport, driver’s license or ID card and your full name and photo need to be clearly visible.
    • A recent utility bill, not older than 6 months, indicating the name, surname, and physical address of the client. The bill can be an electricity, gas, water, local authority waste disposal or landline telephone bill. Also, in this case, it is necessary that the data provided on the bill corresponds with the information provided when you opened your AvaTrade account. No mobile telephone bills will be accepted.
    • If a deposit was made using a credit card or you made a deposit on behalf of a third party, you will be required to send verification documents for both parties. You will also need to send AvaTrade South Africa a clear, colour copy of the front and back of the credit card. The copy will need to show your full name, the expiration date of the credit card, and the first and last 4 digits of the credit card number. Please note that you may block the CVV security code on the back of the credit card as well as the middle 8 digits of the card number.

It is very important to note that AvaTrade is not a tax substitute and we request all our South African traders to contact the necessary authorities in order to verify the tax implications of trading online.
Once all the required verification documentation has been sent and approved by AvaTrade, you can then go to the ‘My AVA’ section in your trading account and complete the withdrawal form in order to start the withdrawal process.
Sending AvaTrade South Africa your documents and confirming your identity is easy; you can simply visit the AvaTrade South Africa website, enter the section dedicated to your account, and upload scans of the required documents. If this is not possible, you can also send the copies via email to our customer support centre.

  • What is the minimum amount required in order to open an AvaTrade account?

In order to open a real account with AvaTrade, you will be required to make a minimum deposit. This amount might vary based on the base currency you select as well as the type of method you choose to make a deposit. The minimum requirements are as follows:

    • €/ $ 100, or 100 of the base currency of your account if you make a deposit by credit card
    • €/ $ 100, or 100 of the base currency of your account if you make a deposit by bank transfer

We also offer trading in Australian dollars (AUD) and British pounds, but these are only available for our Australian and British clients.

We might not offer trading in the currency of a trader’s specific country and so they can select another base currency for their account. • Regulations and Banking Processes at AvaTrade South Africa

The importance that AvaTrade South Africa places on reliability and speed in managing its clients’ money is evident. If you choose to invest with us, know that your money is safe and the ways in which you can withdraw the profits earned through our trading platform, are simple, convenient and fast. The efficiency of how we handle your withdrawal requests and our processes are a source of pride for us. Two working days, and in some cases only one, is certainly a remarkable result that makes AvaTrade stand out compared to many other online brokers.

Opening a real account requires identity checks that may be somewhat time-consuming, but this ensures the financial integrity of the entire system and keeps money launderers and criminals from engaging in our business. In order to offer serious reliability and safety, we simply must correctly identify our clients. This is due to governmental regulations around the world, and we would tell you to be very wary of a broker that does not require identity verification. This is a huge red flag with anyone you would do business with in the financial services.

The procedures are very simple, and quite frankly, standard for the industry. Copies of a recent utility bill and an identity card are all that is needed for most traders. The ability to also upload the identification documentation directly into your online trading account makes this process much simpler than many other brokers. We want our traders to focus solely on their trading activities, while we take care of the rest.

Deposits at AvaTrade ZA

If there are any other delays in credit card related deposits, please contact our customer support centre and one of our dedicated representatives will assist you.

If you have made a deposit via e-payments, the funds will be credited within 24 hours. If you have not made any trades with the funds from that deposit, it will be cancelled within 24 hours and the support team will send you an email to confirm this. Please note that Saturdays and Sundays are not considered business days and if you send a cancellation request, this will not be actioned until the next business day. However, keep in mind that if you do make a trade, you will have to wait for those transactions to be cleared, and the account to be verified, before you can withdraw the money.

  • What should I do if the credit card I used to deposit has since expired? Can AvaTrade help me?

With AvaTrade, we have you covered. If your credit card that was used to deposit into your account has since expired, simply contact customer support or your account manager via email with a brief explanation of the issue. We will assist you in updating your information in our systems once your new credit card details are available.

  • Depositing with DupliTrade

DupliTrade is an automated trading platform offered by AvaTrade South Africa, which enables our traders to copy or duplicate the trades of top traders on the platform right into your AvaTrade trading account. This is an excellent way to learn the basics of trading if you are new to the online trading world, while experienced traders will learn new trading skills and strategies.

AvaTrade handles all of your deposits through the popular auto trading platform. There’s no need to segregate your funds from those used on other trading platforms, such as MetaTrader 4. This makes the entire process much easier than it would be with other brokerage firms. This is yet another step that AvaTrade takes to ensure that the customer experience is second to none. This provides our clients with the convenience of trading on different platforms from the comfort of one broker.

Please note that South African traders looking to use DupliTrade will need to sign an LPOA (Limited Power of Attorney) in order for live trading to be enabled. Feel free to contact the AvaTrade customer support team to learn more about the requirements.

  • Indonesian or Nigerian? No problem.

Some brokers are unfairly biased against traders from these two nations. At AvaTrade South Africa, we gladly accept credit cards from both countries in order to facilitate trading. Please note that the verification process will also need to be completed.

  • Indian Citizens?

For identification purposes, Indian citizens can use their Pan cards as a government issued photo ID, as well as a driver’s license or passport.

Avatrade Withdrawals and Deposits FAQ

  • How difficult is it to deposit at AvaTrade?

Depositing funds at AvaTrade is no more difficult than making a deposit at your local bank. In fact, for some it could be even easier. Once your account has been approved and verified you can access deposit options right in the trading platform and easily deposit to start trading. You’ll be able to use a bank wire and credit or debit cards to fund your account quickly. And depending on what country you reside in you’ll also be able to choose from a large variety of online ewallets.

  • How difficult is it to withdraw at AvaTrade?

Presuming that you’ve already submitted the necessary identification documents for KYC and AML verifications a withdrawal at AvaTrade is almost as easy as a withdrawal from an ATM. Withdrawal requests can be submitted in under a minute through the trading platform and are approved as quickly as possible, typically within one business day. Depending on where the withdrawal is being sent you could receive it immediately or it may take several business days, but that timing is due to processes and procedures from your financial institution.

  • Is there anything that could prevent me from making a deposit of a withdrawal at AvaTrade?

The most common problems we see with deposits and withdrawals here at AvaTrade are from people who are trying to make deposits from countries not supported by our platform, or from those who haven’t cleared our KYC/AML requirements. All of our clients are required to submit documents that confirm their identity and their residence before we can process withdrawal requests. This has caused some issues in the past when the regulations weren’t as well known, but by this time we believe everyone is aware of the KYC/AML requirements and problems with deposits and withdrawals are minimal.
